Dear Officer Salvatore Rivieri,

Officer Salvatore Rivieri,

Do you fulfill your duty to protect and serve the community as you have been assigned? That is a question that you must answer for yourself. If you have not taken a glance in the mirror lately, I would encourage you to do so.

I bring up this question because of the type of behavior that is exhibited in the above clip.

It is possible that the one who needs to learn how to respect others is not the boy that you so helplessly railed on. In fact, you may have much more learning to do than you thought. First, your function is not to push people around. Instead, it is to keep a situation under control and to respond to any legal conflict that may arise. You do not model this type of behavior in the above film clip. Second, anyone who finds it necessary to raise their voice in normal, rational, temperate conversation does not belong in a job committed to serving the public. You work for us. Not visa-versa. We give you your job. Be grateful, or lose it, if you haven’t already.

Sincerely
Trevor Borkin
